The Netflix show broke the record for most streamed show in a two-week period.
Netflix’s Adolescence has taken the world by storm since arriving on the streaming site on 13th March. The show has been praised for its incredible storytelling, impeccable cast including newcomer Owen Cooper, and its unique one-take filming style.
Given the huge interest and success of the show, fans have been speculating whether there’d be a second season to the four-part limited series, and co-creator Stephen Graham has now given a very surprising update on the possibility of this.
Speaking to Variety about the rumours, Graham said: “We’ll see how the figures are.”
He added: “There’s the possibility of developing another story.”
Graham previously told Tudum that they wanted to “end” the story where it began in Jamie’s room, so this is a change of tune for the actor. And he isn’t the only one to comment on these rumours, with actress Amelie Pease (who plays Jamie’s sister Lisa) recently sharing her views.
In an exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Pease said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up going for a second season.”
