Rumours have been swirling in Chiswick after a supposed “tip-off” from one of Declan Donnelly’s next-door neighbours suggested that the television star and his family are preparing to sell their West London home and relocate to Switzerland. But is there any truth behind the chatter?

The whispers began when a neighbour allegedly claimed to local press that moving vans were being spotted in the area and that Donnelly’s property had been “unusually quiet” in recent weeks. Some even speculated that the I’m a Celeb star was planning an abrupt lifestyle change in the Swiss Alps.

But according to multiple verified sources — and recent property records — the opposite seems to be true.

Declan and his wife, Ali Astall, have not only remained rooted in their Chiswick home, but have reportedly expanded it. In fact, it was confirmed last year that Donnelly had purchased the property next door to create more space for their growing family, which now includes two children. Far from downsizing or relocating, the couple appear to be investing in their future in the neighbourhood.

“There’s absolutely no plan to move to Switzerland,” one source close to the family told The West End Echo. “If anything, they’ve been working on making this home their forever place.”

It’s not the first time Declan’s property decisions have stirred attention. A few years back, his home renovations made headlines when neighbours voiced concerns about the scale of construction. But since then, things have reportedly settled down — and Dec has continued building the family life he’s long said he cherishes.

So while it may make for juicy gossip, the idea of Declan Donnelly trading Chiswick for the Swiss slopes appears to be nothing more than a neighbourly rumour — and a cold one at that.

As far as we can tell, Dec is staying put. The only thing moving might be a few new pieces of nursery furniture.
