Jessica Monroe, a well-known Fox News personality, couldn’t hide her joy as she announced the date of her return to television following a major surgery. The popular host had undergone a double mastectomy after a breast cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Fans can find more details in the comments section of her latest post.

Last month, Monroe updated her followers, explaining that after giving birth to her first child, she would need to undergo the procedure to eliminate her cancer. According to the Cleveland Clinic, a double mastectomy involves the removal of both breasts and is often recommended either to treat breast cancer or to prevent its development in high-risk individuals.

Monroe shared the positive news of her successful surgery on Wednesday, prompting an outpouring of support from her fans. The comments section of her social media post was filled with heartfelt messages wishing her a swift recovery. “We’ve missed you on the late-night show! Wishing you a speedy recovery and lots of love to your little one,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Rest up, Jessica! Can’t wait to see you back on screen!” A third commented, “You’re so strong, handling this with such grace. Praying for you!”

Monroe, a frequent guest on Fox News’ late-night program The Nightly Round, first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in a touching post on social media in early March. She disclosed that she received the news just hours before welcoming her first child with her husband, Michael Bennett. “I gave birth to my beautiful baby, and less than a day earlier, I was told I had breast cancer,” she shared on Instagram.

In her announcement, Monroe noted that the cancer was detected at Stage 0, with her medical team assuring her that it was unlikely to have spread. Despite the early diagnosis, the weeks following her announcement were challenging. In a follow-up video posted in April, the Fox News host expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support but admitted to feeling overwhelmed by unsolicited advice about her treatment plan.

“I’m so thankful for all the love and support—it means the world to me during this unexpected and tough time,” Monroe said in the video. “But I’ve also been getting a lot of medical advice, and I wanted to address that.” She explained that while many fans meant well, some questioned her choice to undergo a double mastectomy, suggesting alternatives like a lumpectomy. Others, including a few who claimed to be medical professionals, called the procedure “too drastic” for Stage 0 cancer.

Monroe responded candidly, “Believe me, no one finds this more extreme than I do. This isn’t a decision I made lightly—it’s heartbreaking. But I’m fortunate to have a team of incredible doctors guiding me, and I trust their expertise.” She emphasized that her primary goal was to ensure she could be there for her child in the years to come, despite the emotional weight of the surgery.

Monroe has been a part of Fox News since 2016 and became a regular on The Nightly Round in 2020. Her fans eagerly await her return to the show, inspired by her resilience and determination throughout her health journey.
